Boston Weather, When to Go and Climate Information

(Boston, Massachusetts (MA), USA

Photo of Boston city center at nightWeather in Boston is very changeable and in the past has included snow in October and a mini heat-wave in February. The weather is never boring and the summers (June to August) are usually a blaze of sun, being very hot and humid. Sun glasses, hats and sun block are most beneficial in the hottest weather.

In the spring the warm ocean breezes are soothing, but in the winter they can be strong and bitterly cold. The winters (November to February) can also be quite wet, so at this time of year, be sure to wrap up well and carry an umbrella. Possibly the best times to visit are in the late spring and early fall (with spectacular autumnal colors throughout new England), when the temperature is warm and not too hot. Whatever the weather, there is always plenty to see and do in Boston.
